Call to Order: 

President Kevin Scheer called the meeting to order at 11:06 am.

Board Members Present:

President – Kevin Scheer, First Vice President – Bryan Cato, Second Vice President – Charles Misenheimer, Secretary – Justin Smith, Treasurer – Angie Malone, Sergeant-at-Arms – Lance Davis, Board Member – Traey Lambertz, Board Member – Matt Clemens, Co-Education director Victor Mode, Co-Education director – Lance Davis.

Board Members Absent:

Chairman of Board – Aaron Smith

Minutes of previous Meeting:

Matt Clemens made a motion to approve the minutes from the April 16th and May 13th board meetings. Motion was seconded by Bryan Cato. All ayes; motion carried.

Treasurer’s Report:

The current balance available is 3,584.31, with 2 CD’s maturing March 2017.

MACA paid $5652.16 to IAEI for the spring 2016 training, have not yet received $1200.00 from ICC to put towards the cost of training.

By the end of the month we should have an answer from accountant of what will carry over from the 501 account.

 New Business:

President Kevin Scheer suggested that all board members should make announcements during general assembly meetings.

The status of the website was discussed:

The website is still incomplete; First Vice President Bryan Cato will attempt to reach Chairman of the Board Aaron Smith to get status reports on the website and to see is shirts have been ordered for board members.

Board Member Traey Lambertz has contacted Camden on the Lake about April 11th/25th and October 10th/24th for spring and fall conference dates for 2017.

A discussion was had about breakout sessions for the next MACA conference. The length and number of breakouts will depend on the instructors. Various topics were discussed, including: ICC flood plain requirements, ADA for existing buildings, property maintenance, existing buildings – change of occupancy, solar energy, and hood requirements.

Board member Matt Clemens mentioned that the instructors will need to become preferred providers prior to the conference.

President Kevin Scheer proposed providing rooms for the sponsors / Instructors.

Meeting was adjourned for lunch at 11:30 am.

Meeting called back to order at 11:55 am.

Board Member Matt Clemens recommended saving the ICC Training for the fall.

Board Member Traey Lambertz will send out confirmed dates once he receives them.

First Vice President Bryan Cato discussed contacting ICC for reimbursement from the previous conference. If unable to contact Chairman of the Board Aaron Smith, then his responsibilities with the website and board member shirts, will be delegated to others.

The conference fees for the 2017 conferences will be $225.00.

Board Member Matt Clemens discussed give members portfolios, backpacks, etc. at future conferences.

Traey Lambertz motioned to adjourn the meeting. Motion was seconded by Kevin Scheer. All ayes; motion carried. Meeting adjourned at 12:20 pm.
